Robot

ROBOT is a Czech brand of quality mechanical watches that combines tradition and modern technology with Czech heritage. The ROBOT brand name refers to the Czech origin of the word "robot", which was first used by the writer Karel Čapek more than a hundred years ago. The ROBOT watch thus connects the historical legacy of Čapek robots with modern technologies and robotics, which are an integral part of our lives today.

Behind the brand is Czech entrepreneur Josef Zajíček, who together with his team developed watches under the original name Bohematic. However, after entering foreign markets, the brand changed its name to ROBOT to avoid a collision with Montblanc's similarly named watch collection.

Watch production takes place in a manufactory in Nové Město nad Metují, where the emphasis is on handwork, craftsmanship and technical precision. Each piece is produced in small batches and features a high-quality Swiss movement that ensures reliability and precision. The ROBOT watch thus represents a perfect combination of attractive design and delicate watch mechanics, making it not only a practical tool, but also a work of art.

ROBOT #FliegerFriday x Micro Praha Limited Edition

Hashtags are today a phenomenon of modern online communication. Several hashtags have spread among watch lovers to express their enthusiasm and share their love for watches. However, only some of them managed to cross the Internet and gain attention in the real world. One such hashtag is #FliegerFriday, which has made its way from a purely virtual environment into the real world. Behind it is Bhanu, who has been spreading awareness of pilot watches and everything related to them for several years through this hashtag, and not only through his website www.fliegerfriday.com. Thanks to the popularity and practicality of the pilot's watch, the #FliegerFriday project has grown beyond the online community and into the real world. So far, six unique projects focused on limited edition pilot watches have been created within its framework. After the successful editions of the Stowa, Tutima, Hanhart (two editions) and Dekla brands, we felt the desire to create something that would extend to the Czech Republic, especially given the rich history of Czechoslovak aviation.

A significant part of Austro-Hungarian aircraft production had its roots in Czech companies such as Aero, Avia, Beneš-Mráz, Letov, Praga, Tatra or Zlín, and key engine manufacturers included ČKD, Walter and Škoda. In this context, cooperation on a limited edition watch would only make sense with a Czech watch brand. At that moment, we reached out to our friends from the ROBOT brand. Fortunately, they were not intimidated by our ideas and were not deterred by numerous comments and requests for design modifications, which made the limited edition ROBOT #FliegerFriday possible.

A key requirement for a watch that we want to wear ourselves is easy legibility. In this edition, this is ensured by distinctive skeletonized hands and a very clear dial composed of several layers, protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. Thanks to the luminescent coating, the time is easy to read even in low light conditions. To make the watch comfortable to wear, we chose a universal case size of 40 mm, which fits well on the hand thanks to the tapered legs. The very light weight of the watch, which feels as if it is made of titanium, also contributes to the comfort. A proper pilot's watch shouldn't reflect light, so we opted to sandblast the steel case, giving it a beautifully matte finish to match the crown and pin buckle. The watch is powered by a quality Swiss movement from La Joux-Perret, specifically caliber G101 with a power reserve of 68 hours. The back cover of the watch is fixed, but through a small window you can see the rotor, on which robots are engraved, signaling the word "ROBOT" in flag alphabet.

We are so proud and excited for this project not only becuase we love the result, but also because it is the first watch within the #FliegerFriday project made by a Czech watch brand.

A big plus is also the price, which we managed to reduce to a minimum without having to compromise on production or quality.

Kdo hledá zajímavé pilotky a/nebo originální hodinky vyrobené českou značkou hodinek, pak by neměl tuto edici přehlédnout.

Czech Made Watch

Not only does the Robot #FliegerFriday watch come from the workshop of the Czech watch manufacturer in Nové Město, but it also bears a Czech mark in terms of design. They were made according to the design proposals of our Micro Praha team. This is the first Czech watch as part of the #FliegerFriday project and the first pilot watch in the ROBOT collection.

Perfect legibility

Free additional strap!

With each Robot #FliegerFriday watch purchased from us, you will receive a leather strap, handmade in the German Fluco manufactory, as a small treat. The strap has a light brown color, which contrasts slightly with the strap on which the watch is delivered. Which we like. The extra strap features a sandblasted buckle to match the finish of the case.
